Louise Young

Louise Young has worked as a counsellor, clinical supervisor and trainer for over 25 years.  As Academic Director for counselling skills training at the University of East Anglia she was responsible for designing and delivering Introductory and Certificate courses in Counselling Skills, Counselling Theory, CBT and Group work.  She taught on the post-graduate Diploma in Counselling at UEA and worked with a number of other training providers to design and deliver training courses for statutory and voluntary organisations in the region.  Louise is a founder member of Training Associates and teaches on the Foundation courses in Counselling Skills, Counselling Theory and CBT.

Richard Hanny

Richard Hanny teaches on the Foundation in Counselling Skills and the Foundation in CBT.  He has a background in primary school teaching,  moving on to  train in CBT and Person-centred counselling.  He has worked as a counsellor in doctors’ surgeries and in the field of alcohol and substance misuse.  He was course director for the Post-graduate Certificate in CBT at the University of East Anglia and a tutor on the university’s introductory course programme that provided the first step for students to progress on to Certificate level study.  Richard is a founder member of  Training Associates and teaches on the Foundation courses in Counselling Skills and CBT.

Cathy Kidd-Smith

Cathy Kidd-Smith teaches on the Foundation in Counselling Skills and she also works as a counsellor, supervisor and trainer.  She is passionate about the person centred approach and has a great deal of experience in facilitating training groups at all levels.  She delivers training in counselling skills for medical students in the School of Medicine at the University of East Anglia.

Jodie Paget

Jodie Paget teaches on the Foundation in CBT Skills. Whilst working with adults with chronic mental health problems she began her training in CBT. She worked with children with behaviour problems, learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders whilst undertaking the majority of her CBT training. Jodie currently practices within a local mental health charity and teaches on the Postgraduate Certificate in CBT Skills at the University of East Anglia. Her ardent attitude towards Cognitive Therapy is evident in her approach to training, which she has been providing over the last three years at foundation and postgraduate level.

Annie Green-Armitage

Anne Green-Armytage
Annie Green-Armytage teaches on our Foundation in Counselling Skills courses. She is a humanistic counsellor and trainer, currently working in a range of settings including counselling young people with substance misuse issues for the Matthew Project, in private practice (www.anniegacounselling.co.uk), and as a co-trainer at the University of East Anglia School of Medicine.

Julie de Rohan

Julie de Rohan-3
Julie has a Masters degree in Counselling from the UEA. She has previously practiced at the Norwich Centre for Personal and Professional Development and music education college Access to Music. She currently works for the eating disorders charity, Eating Matters, specialising in compulsive eating.
